Patrick's PALS 29 was our second year at the TRACK at new balance in Brighton. A full slate of teams, food, contests, a silent auction and more made for a great day. Katie Clapp, co-founder of FRAXA Research Foundation kicked off opening ceremonies by sharing important updates on the progress of finding a cure for Fragile X Syndrome. Erich Schutz, a Fragile X parent, was the 2025 Honorary Chair and was recognized for his wonderful efforts in this role. Chad Finn of The Boston Globe, Kayla Burton of NBC Sports Boston and Noa Dalzell of SB Nation & CLNS Sports Media were this years Honorary PALS and recognized for their work in local sports media. And last but not least our 2025 PALS of the Year - Eileen Donahue and Paul Connolly - took center stage. Eileen is a legendary Field Hockey Coach and just-retired elementary Phys.Ed teacher. Paul just retired after a long and successful run as a high school basketball coach, and he continues to serve as a special ed teacher. And before the basketball began, a very impressive young lady named Gabby Fox sang a powerful rendition of the National Anthem.
